Aubrey Fogarty was the founder of AFA Advertising in 1961 and Des O’Meara the founder of Des O’Meara & Partners in 1973. In March 2003, both Agencies merged to form ‘AFAO’Meara’. There was a rich heritage – AFA had developed ‘Dunnes Stores better value beats them all’ alongside clients such as FIAT, Wrigleys, Mars, Bushmills and so on. Des O’Mearas was famed for the Lyons Tea Minstrels, Quinnsworth (featuring former staffer Maurice Pratt) and so on. Today the Agency is full service and only one of three Irish owned Agencies left in a market of circa 40. Being “Irish” won’t win business in itself but it does mean that we don’t have to report to Paris, London or New York. | So we can make decisions quickly, for ourselves and for our clients. All the owners actually work here – and that does make a big difference. Service.
We’re currently a top ten Agency and possibly, depending on whom you believe, top 5 based on Turnover. But that doesn’t matter because you’re only as good as “your last Ad” but it does give us the financial clout and leeway to commit resources. That’s good. We’re not right for every client but always worth the chat. Why not? |
